THE 1004 Basic Costume & Apparel Construction

THE 1011 Acting I

Covers basic acting techniques and approaches including scene study, improvisation, and script analysis. It includes practical application through classroom performance.

THE 1016 Technical Theatre

Introduces hands-on methods of constructing and painting scenery and properties, and operating stage lighting. Students also learn the proper procedures of using shop equipment and serving on stage crews.

Naturalist Training

The Naturalist Training is a one-of-a-kind adult training program highlighting the plants, animals, and ecosystems of the Colorado Front Range. Topics of study include botany, ecology, mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and conservation in Colorado. Meets the requirements ofor the Denver Audubon Naturalist Certification.

Please note: requires one weekend meeting (not overnight) on 10/19-20.

Hazardous Waste Site Safety: 8 Hr Hazwoper Refresher

Workers trained in hazardous waste operations are required to attend a yearly refresher course as mandated by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. Using case studies, group activities, and hands-on practice, this course will increase and refresh your knowledge of harardous wates operations and emergency responses. Individuals who wish to refresh their 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and are enrolled in an OSHA 500, 501, 502 or 503 course, may do so by paying an additonal $75.00 to receive their recertification. The content of the OSHA 500, 501, 502, and 503 courses meet the requirements to receive an 8-Hour Refresher certificate. 8 CEUs

Wilderness First Responder

The Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course is the standard level of medical training for professional outdoor recreation industry field staff that work multi-day, overnight trips in remote environments, military, technical rescue personnel, and those working in disaster relief. Our comprehensive, contextual, and practical curriculum has gained popularity among outdoor enthusiasts, endurance athletes, and adventure travelers who push their boundaries in remote areas with limited resources, unreliable communication, and the potential for delayed or self-rescue.

THE 1005 Theatre Appreciation

Stormwater Courses are offered in partnership with Altitude Training Associates. Visit website to register: First full day is delivered via ZOOM. the second, 1/2 day is in person and includes a field trip. Understand the principles and practices of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control during construction activities. This course will cover the legal requirements the process of erosion and sedimentation erosion and sediment control, best management practices (BMPs) selection and application, and structural and non-structural installation guidelines. this course is the recipient of the Environmental Education Partnership award granted by the Colorado Alliance of Environmental Education. The second day of class is half-day field trip to discuss BMPs on actual construction sites.
