Hip Hop I introduces basic concepts and skills of hip hop and how it is fused with athleticism. Taught by the amazing Austin Marquez (see bio below), this course welcomes beginners and dancers of all levels and will cover the progression of the hip hop dance genre.
About Austin Marquez: Austin Marquez is a performer, choreographer and teaching artist based in New York City. Austin has been seen in the immersive theatrical experience Zerospace, the Off-Broadway premieres of GEEKS! The Musical and MANIFESTO: The Diaghilev Project. Austin is a choreographer with work performed on Off-Broadway stages, festivals around New York City, and on screen in music videos. He developed the hip hop department at acclaimed ABT affiliated dance school American Youth Dance Theater, and has been on faculty at Hunter College, Marymount Manhattan College and Lesley University. He holds an MFA in Dance from Hunter College and a BFA in musical theater from Marymount Manhattan College.
